My dad, mom and I moved to Damon Track in 1953 Went to Kaloaloa, and Kalakaua until we had to move out for the "new airport". Lived on Q road in the back side of a duplex, below Kaimana Rd. Our back yard shared a fence with Asagi's Farm. We grew string beans, radishes, carrots, and lettuce. We also raised chickens and rabbits. Some of us used to get rotten eggs from the farm and egg the buses coming out of Pearl on Nimitz.

Born and raised all over Oahu in 1945. First home I remembered was in Kalihi Valley (Kapalama Elem), Manoa (Royal Elem), Damon Tract,(Kaloaloa & Kalakaua, Ewa Beach (Ewa Inter & Waipahu), Morris Lane (FHS), Middle Street when I joined the Army in 1964. God broke the mold when I was born (only child) according in my tutu. Retired Army now living in Ohio. Have 4 kane keikis, 7 moopunas, and 4 moopuna nuis. Music is my passion, and Kihoalu is my forte.
