Dan Hofstedt was born in Washington State and raised in Hawaii. He is a gifted singer/songwriter who plays eclectic acoustic fingerstyle guitar, Hawaiian style slack-key (ki ho'alu), folk rock, Pacific Americana, country, newgrass, singer-songwriter, ukulele, and more.

He is also a talented animator having worked on major productions such as Planes, Mulan, Lion King, Tarzan, Aladdin, Treasure Planet, Looney Tunes Back in Action, Monster House, An American Tail, The Land Before Time, Princess and the Frog...to name a few.
