 We are happy to announce our Weekend in Polynesia Event to be held on September 12 & 13sponsored by PACIFIC TALENT ACADEMY OF THE ART.

 For the past 11 years Fire Knife of Samoa has hosted our Fire Knife Dance Competition bringing the best of Fire Knife Dancers from around the world.  Preserving the legacy of the late Paramount Chief Olo Misilagi Letuli – the Father of the Fire Knife Dance who so loved his Polynesian entertainment. 

PACIFIC TALENT ACADEMY OF THE ARTS operates in the spirit of Fa’aitoito which translates as “keep the motivation and never give up” we will feature, our 5th  Annual ITO Tahitian Solo Competition  and last but not least our  11^th Annual Fireknife Dance Competition will provide the backdrop for a wonderful Polynesian Weekend.  Each of our events has attracted some of the most talented singers and dancers from Polynesian communities around the world, and we are once again proud to share it with you.  We will also be featuring the most treasured and loved halau from Southern California.  

 We would like to take this opportunity to invite your dancers to participate in the Ito Competition and the Fire Knife Dance Competition.  The applications are attached and pertinent information can all be found online at our www.weekendinpolynesia.com website.
