•  Happy Birthday to Dr. Diana Faatai, Carson High School Principal, Mareta Tagaloa of the Tafesilafa’I Pacific Islander Festival, Soma Leio, NPIEN Member, John Harrington, NPIEN Staff Member, Mafi Puaka, NPIEN Sponsor, Willie Villareal, Hoku Ma’ole Polynesia, NPIEN Sponsor, Justin Sue’e Su’e, Opera artist and NPIEN Keynote Speaker, 1st Sgt. Otto Harrington, Retired ROTC Teacher and Sevia Ma’ae Award Winner, and Mike Tuitasi, NPIEN Golfer
• The Keewnewb 12 hour Fundraiser by Ele Thompson on Memorial Day raised close to $4,000!  We also gained 49 new members, 22 new sponsors, including 3 over $500. 
• The Falanai Ala Role Model Speaker and Mentor series ended this month, with Dr. Thompson speaking and playing music at Will Rogers Middle School in the Lawndale School District, plus he spoke at the Khmer Parent Association/South East Asian Scholarship Celebration, where some of our Pacific Islander students were also honored.   A total of 500 students and staff participated in our Falanai Ala Role Model program!
•  Team Samoa/Team Winnie (9 runners) participated in the Happiest 5K on the Planet, The Color Run, on Saturday June 11th at the Dignity Health Sports Complex in Carson, CA.
•  Congratulations to Board Members Ethan Nguyen, Sean Munley, and Kalani Heinz!  We had over 700 views on Facebook from the School Talk Story with Dr. T Show!
•  Loriann Leota and Dr. Thompson attended the White House Initiative on AANHPI meeting tomorrow.  
•  Thanks to Loriann for appearing on School Talk Story, Over 150 views so far!
•  Board Elections have ended!  Congratulations to our new officers Will Safotu, President, Kalani Heinz President-Elect, Wayne Manu, Vice President, Lupe More, Secretary, and Sean Munley, Treasurer. Thanks to Tino Andres, Immediate Past President and two term President!
•  Meet, Greet and Eat!  Thanks to NPIEN Board Members Teresa Molina, Anjani Varma, and NPIEN Staff Nellie Angeo for organizing this informative event!  Watch the video.  
• Thanks to President Tino Andres and Board Member Leatapo Fesili for working at our table at the Samoan Heritage Festival! We saw many of our partner organizations and friends and taught ukulele.
