3 C Water
2 lbs potatoes, peeled and cut into bite size pieces
1 Tbsp Hawaiian salt
1/4 C Sugar
1/2 tsp Black pepper
1 Tbsp minced Garlic
1 Tbsp Vegetable oil
1/4 C Shoyu
Cooking Instructions
Mix 2 cups of the water with the Hawaiian salt in a mixing bowl, soak potatoes for 15 minutes. Drain. Combine the remaining 1 cup water with remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the potatoes and cook over medium heat for 8-10 minutes or until fork tender, not mushy. Remove potatoes with a slotted spoon. Makes 6 servings.
Additional Comments
Optional: Drizzle leftover sauce over potatoes.

This goes great with meat juhn or kal bi ribs
