6 whole Chicken fryer legs
1 lb Portuguese sausage (hot), cubed
1 C Onion, chopped
1/2 C Celery, chopped
1 C Green apple, chopped
2 C Croutons
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 C Cilantro (Chinese parsley)
1/3 C Honey
2 Tbsp Lemon juice
Cooking Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350deg. Remove bone from the chicken thigh. Using a skillet, saute the Portuguese sausage... remove from skillet and set on the side. Pour out all but maybe 3 tbsp's of the sausage fat from the skillet. Add onions and celery and saute these. Stir in green apple, croutons, cilantro, and portuguese sausage. Divide the mixture into six portions and press into chicken pieces where you had removed the thigh bone. Place these pieces on a baking sheet stuffing side down and bake for one hour. Mix the honey and lemon juice real well. Baste the chicken several times during the last 20 mins or so before done with this honey sauce.

This is a spicy chicken dish served at Portuguese weddings and special occasions. Made with Portuguese Sausage, Chicken and a whole bunch of other stuff. Delicious!!!!!!

Dis recipe onee stay reel ono, but take sum time. But fo da wahine dat stay like hook one kane fo marry la'dat, eef she go serve him dis one... auwe da bugga goin geev up! Can use the mild kine potugee sausage eef u no like too spicy.
