1 lb boneless Chicken thighs, thinly sliced
1 tsp Korean coarse red pepper
1 Tbsp Brown sugar
1 Tbsp White sugar
1 Tbsp Ketchup
1 Tbsp Vegetable oil
1 Tbsp Shoyu
1 1/2 Tbsp Garlic, finely chopped
1 small Carrot, finely sliced
1/4 small Onion, finely sliced
1 bunch Green onions, finely sliced
1/4 tsp Roasted sesame seeds
1/2 tsp Sesame seed oil
Cooking Instructions
First, put da oil in da hot pan. Heat da oil up (like med to med-high, no burn da garlic cause it will turn bitter). Put in da chicken, garlic, sugars, shoyu, ketchup, vegetables, peppers in the pan. Stir once in a while so no stick to da pan (no stir too much, you want to brown da chicken), until da chicken turn a little brown. (If you run out of juice add water with shoyu 1:1 ratio) Once da chicken is brown (not papa'a) sprinkle da sesame seeds, sesame seed oil and put over white sticky rice.
Additional Comments
When I was stationed in Korea, da cook showed me how to make this awesome recipe. It was a GI favorite. If you use peppers, make sure you use the Korean peppers. If you don't like it spicy, you can actually omit the peppers.
