Braised Boneless Short Ribs

Boneless short ribs
2 Round onions sliced
4-6 Garlic cloves crushed
4-6 Carrots peeled & cut into 3" pieces
Corn starch for thickening sauce
2 C Red wine
1 can Beef broth
1 Tbsp oil
1 Tbsp Tomato paste
Salt/pepper/brwn sugar to taste
Cooking Instructions
Salt/pepper short ribs, dust in flour and brown in large pot with oil. Remove from pot and brown onions then add garlic and tomato paste. Add red wine and reduce heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes. Add beef broth and brown sugar. Place short ribs back into pot or roasting pan, add carrots cover with tin foil and bake at 300 deg. for 2-21/2 hrs or till fork tender. Place short ribs and carrots on serving dish, heat up drippings and thicken with cornstarch. Pour sauce over short ribs and serve.
