1 box Mochiko rice flour
1 lb Brown sugar
3 C Water
Cooking Instructions
Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir till blended.
Place bowl in steamer or large pot of water and bring to boil. Turn down heat and simmer for 1 1/2-2 hours till all blended and soft. Transfer gau mixture to serving bowl lined with Ti or bamboo leaves and top with one dried date in center for garnish. Let set till firm and serve
