Shoyu Chicken

3-5 lbs Chicken thighs
1 C Shoyu
1/2 C Water
3/4 C Sugar
1/2 C Vinegar (optional, but it cooks the thighs faster)
5-7 slices fresh Ginger
3-4 cloves Garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 package of achote mix (optional)
1-2 tsp ajinomoto (MSG)(optional)
Cooking Instructions
Mix all ingredients in a pot, add chicken, and cook on medium for about 20 minutes on each side.
Additional Comments
The best type of shoyu to use is Aloha (the low salt works great too). Kikkoman is a bit salty.
