Ingredients
6 pkgs Knox gelatin
1 C Ice water
1 C Sugar
4 C Evaporated milk
2 tsp Vanilla
Chocolate Sauce:
3 1/2 Tbsp Cornstarch
1 C Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
6 Tbsp Cocoa
1/2 C Cold water
4 Tbsp Butter
Cooking Instructions
Dissolve gelatin in 1 cup ice water. Boil 3 cups water, and add 1 cup sugar. Stir and dissolve. Add in dissolved gelatin. Stir in evaporated milk and vanilla. Pour into 9x13 pan and refrigerate for several hours. Just before serving make the sauce. Mix the cornstarch, sugar, salt, cocoa, and 1/2 cup cold water together to form a paste. Cook over med. heat until thick. Remove from heat and add 4 tablespoons butter. Stir. Let cool slightly and serve warm over cold jello.

This was UH Lab School's most requested recipe. Served in cold ivory squares with warm chocolate sauce, it was our favorite.
