Easy Pot Roast

Ingredients
3 lb boneless Beef chuck roast
2 stalks Celery chopped into small pieces
3 large Carrots skinned and cut into 2-3in pieces
3 Potatoes peeled and quartered
2 round Onions, skinned and quartered
Garlic salt
Pepper
1 envelope Onion soup
1 Tbsp Cornstarch
2 Tbsp Oyster sauce
21/2 C Water
2 Tbsp Oil
Cooking Instructions
Lightly sprinkle garlic salt and pepper over roast. Brown both sides of roast in preheated pot in oil on high heat. Mix Lipton onion soup base in 2/12 C warm water and add oyster sauce. Pour mixture over roast, add celery to pot and turn down heat to med/low. Simmer for 45min. then add rest of vegetables and simmer for another 45min. Prick roast with fork and if tender remove roast and vegetables from pot. Slice roast place on serving platter with vegetables. Turn heat to high and thicken liquid in pot with a mixture of equal parts of 1 Tbsp cornstarch and water. You can pour gravy over roast or serve seperately.
