Rita's Portagee Sausage Pork & Beans

2 large cans Van Camp's Pork & Beans
2 pkg Portugese Sausage (hot or mild; Gouvea's is the best!
1 pkg Bacon
1 Yellow onion
1/4 C Ketchup
1/4 C Brown sugar
1 tsp dried Mustard (optional)
Cooking Instructions
Fry the bacon till brown (not too done, it'll be hard); chop into bite-size crumbly pieces and set aside. Cut Portugese sausage into rounds, and cook in hot skillet; set aside. Cut the onion in half & thinly slice only 1-half,(save the rest). In a big pot, add pork & beans, bacon, sausage, onion and the rest of the ingredients. Cook on low/medium heat for 15 minutes. Serve right away with LOTS of cooked rice-GRIND 'EM!
