5 lbs Chicken
3 cans Swanson chicken broth
1 Tbsp Garlic
1 1/2 Tbsp Ginger
3 C Aloha shoyu
1/2 C Brown sugar
1/2 C White sugar
1 tsp Black pepper
Cooking Instructions
Boil chicken in pot with the 3 cans of broth on high heat and cover half way. Take the garlic, ginger and shoyu and mix in bowl or jar. Add the brown sugar and white sugar to the shoyu and mix. When chicken is done save half of the stock. Drain out the oil and fat from the top. Put pot with the half stock back on the stove and bring to a boil. Add the shoyu mixture and let the sugar melt. Keep mixing it to avoid burning the sugar. When sugar has melted, add the chicken to the pot and cover. Simmer on low for 20 mins. If the sauce is too sweet for your taste, add more chicken broth to the pot and simmer again. O yeah don't forget to add the pepper when simmering.
