Roast Pork - Cantonese Style

1 1/2 lb Shoulder of pork, best w/ some fat attached Marinade:
1 C Light shoyu
6 Tbsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
2 Tbsp Brown bean paste
1 Tbsp Hoisin sauce
1 tsp Sesame oil
2 Tbsp Chinese rose wine or sherry
2 cloves Garlic
Red coloring optional
1 Tbsp Sesame paste
1/2 C Honey
Cooking Instructions
Cut pork into long strips ~1-1/2" dia. & make slits at intervals & lightly pound meat w/ meat pounder. Put marinade ingredients into a good size bowl & mix well, add pork & marinate pork 1 hr. Remove pork & mount each piece on a skewer. Preheat oven to 450 F. Grill 15 min. turning meat half way through. Heat honey & a little water to melt. Remove pork from oven, brush pork w/ honey. Return pork to oven & continue cooking 10 min. Remove pork, brush again w/ honey. Return pork to oven 5 min. Serve, sliced into thin slices 1/4" or thinner.
