Kau Yuk with Taro

3 lbs Belly pork
3 Tbsp Oil
1 lbs Dry land taro (sliced)
4 cubes Red bean curd
2 cubes Yellow bean curd
2 Tbsp Brown sugar
1 tsp Hawaiian salt
2 Tbsp Hoisin sauce
2 Tbsp Oyster sauce
1/2 tsp Five spice
2 cloves Garlic (minced)
Cooking Instructions
Cut pork into 3" strips. Parboil. Rinse and pat dry. Puncture skin well with sharp knife. Heat oil in heavy pot on medium heat. Brown pork till skin is very crispy. Remove and dunk in cold water. Drain and pat dry. Cut pork into 5/8" slices. Marinate pork in sauce for 30 minutes. Arrange in a large bowl. Alternate pork and taro slices. Steam for 3 hours.
