3 lbs Beef short ribs
2 large Onions (Maui kine da best)
1 1/2 C Fresh poi
1 tsp Salt (Hawaiian kine)
Cooking Instructions
Brown the short ribs of beef slightly. Add enough water to cover them up. Simmer until meat is tender, about 3 1/2 hours. Then add the poi and onions and heat till onions are done. I have seen where my mom also used tomatoes so fresh or canned can be used. Consider the tomatoes optional.

This is the old fashioned hawaiian stew that I can remember my tutu making for us when we were just keike's. Very simple though tasty.
