Pork butt or spareribs
1 C Hoisin sauce
1/2 C Sherry, mirin, sake or sweet white wine
3 Tbsp Red food coloring
1/2 C Light or low-sodium soy sauce
1 piece Fresh ginger the size of a thumb joint
5 cloves Garlic
1/2 C Sugar
1/2 tsp Chinese five spice (optional)
Cooking Instructions
Mince ginger and garlic, then mix all marinade ingredients together. Marinade pork overnight. Grill, bake, or smoke.
