Buta Dofu (Pork Tofu)

1/2 lb Pork, thinly sliced
1 1/2 Tbsp Salad oil
2 1/2 Tbsp sugar
1/3 C Shoyu
1/4 tsp Aji-no-moto (MSG)
2 thin slices Fresh ginger root, crushed
1/2 tsp Sake (rice wine) - optional
1 medium Carrot, cut in thin strips
3 stalks Green onion, cut in 1-inch lengths
1 small Round onion, thinly sliced
1 block Tofu, cut in 1 inch cubes; drained
Cooking Instructions
Stir-fry pork in hot oil. Add sugar, shoyu, Aji-no-moto, ginger root and sake. Bring to a boil. Add carrots, green onion, and round onion; cook over low heat 3 minutes. Add tofu cubes and cook additional 4 minutes. Serve hot with rice.
