Easy Kine Mango Mui

4 Mangoes
3/4 C Hawaiian Salt
Juice of 1/2 Lemon
1/2 C Sugar
1/8 tsp Chinese 5 Spice
5 drops Red food coloring
Cooking Instructions
Peel da mangos. Slice lengthwise. Like frenchfries.. then cut in half. Add da salt and let sit in bowl for 2 hours. Rinse and lomi da mangos for 1 minute in colander. Add the above ingredients.. minus da salt.. in a saucepan. Add mango and sauté for about 3 minutes. Da mangos should still be firm. Let cool for 10 minutes or so and put in a gallon size freezer bag. Refrigerate.

Green mangoes work as well as ripe. This is a good recipe for moments when you really crave this. Its wikiwiki.. and hits da Island spot for salty.. crunchy.. sweet.. and sour. Get um all wit dis one.
