1 lb. Ground Pork
1/2 C. Dried Shiitake Mushrooms (soaked & minced)
1 Tbsp. Dark Sesame Oil
1 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tsp. Sugar
2 Tbsp. Cilantro (chopped)
1/2 C. Green Onions (chopped)
2 Cloves Garlic (minced)
1 sm can Water Chestnuts (coarsely minced)
1 tsp. Salt
2 Eggs
1 Pkg. Gyoza or Thick Won Ton Skins
Cooking Instructions
Soak dried mushrooms in warm water for approx. 15 - 30 minutes. Drain and mince in food processor along with cilantro, garlic, and green onions. In a bowl, mix ground pork with ingredients. Encase approximately 1 teaspoon of mixture into Gyoza or thick Won Ton pre-formed skins. Seal skins with water or egg white for adhesion. Heat frying oil and deep fry until brown. Makes approximately 4 - 6 dozen depending on quantities of individual ingredients added.
