Hello ... aloha ... ia orana ... Hawaiian-born, California-bred ... can't ever take away Hawaii from this island girl! I was lucky to have lived in Hawaii for the first 3 years of my life... the most important years of ones life! Mom & dad moved us to San Francisco in '76, and I've been here in the SF Bay Area since! Wished I could've grown up in the islands, but that doesn't make me less of 'local'! Juss gimme Spam, rice and kim chi, and I'm good to go! I dance hula & Tahitian with an awesome halau (Hula Halau 'O Nalua/Ote'a Api) in Fremont, CA. I try to visit the islands at least once a year as the rest of our ohana is still there (Oahu, Big Island, some on Maui - the Martinez, Corpuz, Dumlao, Ugalino ohanas).
