Hawaii is the only place I've ever been in the world (and I've been to LOTS of places) where I cried and cried when I had to say goodbye and come back home to DC. I cried in the car when my friend dropped me off at the airport and I cried in the gate area waiting for my plane. I just did NOT want to go home. I would love to make Hawaii my home someday. Aloha everyone! It was so nice to stumble upon this site this morning. My husband and I lived in Waialua,Oahu for 9.75 years and have been back in NC (where ohana is)for almost 11 years now. We have 2 keikis now and very much miss our Hawaii ohana and life. We are fortunate enough to visit once yearly but that is never enough-we hope to make it back there one day to stay.Reasonable real estate would of course make it a bit easier! We live in Wilmington,NC next to Wrightsville Beach-are there any other Hawaiians at Heart here with us?We would love to talk story and invite you to our annual Luau.

I was pleasantly suprised to see other Hawaii people are in Melbourne, Fl!! I just moved here a few weeks ago.starting to get settled. Can anyone give me tips on good asian markets around here? Is there anywhere to get Hawaiian food? Are there any Hawaiian clubs around here? Or outrigger canoeing? I saw there are some clubs in other areas of Fl, but not close to here. :( Thanks!!:)
