Aloha Gathering 2005

Each year we gather together in the spirit of ALOHA in Las Vegas for our annual Aloha Gathering.  And each time we come away with a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment knowing that others were truly touched in the same way.

The Aloha Gatherings has proven itself to be a very unique "happening" ...  An experience that reaches way into the heart and rekindles the fire for the islands in each individual.  It doesn't matter how old you are, or how long you've been away from the islands, or even if you never been to Hawai'i, just as long as you're ready to experience a part of Hawai'i that refuses to die.

It is much like being a keiki (child) again where everyone is transported to younger days when the cares of this world is abandoned for a few hours and the child within is resurrected.  It's a time of song, laughter and lots of play.

Let's read the comments from others who were blessed to be there:

A BIG Mahalo for a great time at the Aloha Gathering. This was my first attendance and I am making plans to be at the next one. Just waiting on the dates. It was so wonderful to hear live Hawaiian music after not hearing any for 5 years, brought tears to my eyes. I invited my aunt and uncle to join us at the gathering and would you believe... she bumped into so many relatives as did I. Small world huh? Please don't stop having the gathering, it's a wonderful way for us mainlanders to get a piece of home. -- Maria - CA

Dey get locals in NEBRASKA! Wow da familiy drove in from Nebraska ~ Impressive. I know da kids had good fun. Dey was standing next to me in the buffet line asking "wot dis, wot dat?". And da Mahdah stay apologizing for dem. Dey left Hawaii wen dey was small. Was so funny ... I told em, "eh you guyz gotta eat all dis stuff cause no moe in Nebraska." Us was just cracking up. -- Lika - NV

What a weekend!  Kamaka is one pro at talking in front of people and is a dam good entertainer. Kamaka was born to make people laugh. Thank You to Izzie & Koni & AW Staff for putting together a fun filled night. I had a blast and you know my wife had fun. Let’s do it again next year.  -- Keith - CA

The gathering was great ...good food and good to finally put some faces to names. Thanks all of you and last but,not least and for good reason, without these two people and their unselfish selfs, the gatherning and alohaworld would not be what it is now. When you talk to Koni, he says its all due to Izzie. When you talk to Izzie, she says its due to Koni. To me, its both of you and I would like to say from my wife and I many mahalo plentys for being who you are and doing what you both do so well... sharing and spreading the aloha sprit. P.S. Glad to see there will be a #6. I know you two and others put alot of hard work to make it happen. Thanks. -- Mic & Debbie - WA
