The “Fred Schreuders Project”:

This event promises to be the gathering place for amazing musicians and artists each month. Fred is pleased to find a “spot” in the South Bay that will support his vision and invites everyone to experience the music.

For guitarist Fred Schreuders to be described as a “musical genius” is putting it mildly. For more than 40 years he has added his sound to a wide berth of music - R&B, Jazz, Rock, Fusion, Polynesian and more.

His name is synonymous with a high caliber of playing reserved for a select group of musicians.

Frequently in demand as a studio musician, Fred has toured with a number of main stream bands over the years.

For a number of years Fred lived in Hawai’i. During that time he worked with Melveen Leed, Cecilio and Kapono, Randy Lorenzo, Azure McCall and the Alii’s. He performed with keyboard player Al Pascua and bassist Jay Molina in the jazz fusion group Music Magic during that time as well.

In Los Angeles, jazz fusion band Hiroshima was Fred’s “home” for 11 years and 3 CDs. For 30 years he worked with Hawaii’s Michael Paulo and in various configurations of jazz projects in association with Jeff Kashiwa, Greg Adams, Warren Hill, Evert Harp, Ronnie Laws, David Benoit, Jeffery Osborn and Dave Valentin. Fred is now on tour with R&B soul singer Eddie Lavert of the O’jays.
