It is the second year for a film festival hosted in Henderson at Movies & Candy, the bulk sweet shop with DVD rentals and an adjacent boutique movie screen. The festival is a one day event being billed as NORTH AMERICA TEASER FUTURE FILM FESTIVAL.

With over 50 teasers and trailers in competition from the United States and Canada, the second edition of the NATFFF will select the Best Teaser for 2017. The audience will do the voting.

The attending audience will choose one winner that will be given the recognition as Best of the Festival. There will also be an Honorable Mention, selected by the cult actress Jane Badler. Badler is best known for her role as Diana, the very evil and chief antagonist in the science fiction series, “V”. It ran on NBC between 1983 and 1985 and still has a strong cult following.

Also in attendance will be Raymond Rolak, consulting producer of KULEANA. He will conduct a Q & A after the showcase. KULEANA is the Hawaiian word for spiritual responsibility. Written and directed by Brian Kohne the KULEANA trailer will be shown. The film is a thriller set in Hawaii during the turbulent 70’s. It shows how a Vietnam vet must rediscover the Hawaiian warrior within himself to protect his family, defend their land, and clear his father's name.

KULEANA stars Moronai Kanekoa, Sonya Balmores, Kristina Anapau, Augie T, Marlene Sai, Branscombe Richmond, and Mel Cabang. Hawaii’s legendary entertainer, Willie K provides an original score and the soundtrack boasts recordings by Joni Mitchell, Procol Harum, and Tony Orlando and Dawn. Other music includes classic Hawaiian hits of the sixties by Genoa Keawe, Lena Machado, Sunday Manoa, Sons of Hawaii and Marlene Sai.
