Hawai'i born and raised Kamaka Brown and Eric Yamaguchi have joined together to create Makule Productions proud to celebrate Andy's first concert at the Ohana Club room.

We are delighted to have Hawaii’s first stand-up comic on stage at Ohana Club Room at the Hong Kong Garden in Torrance. You will NOT want to miss Andy Bumatai in a special appearance along with featured comic Kamaka Brown, radio host on the Sandwich Islands Network (V93FM.com).

Hawaii’s comic icon Andy Bumatai returned to Waikiki for a one show performance at the Blue Note Hawaii in March 2017. He has recovered from cancer to the point that he feels ready to return to the stage. Andy will be flying to the West Coast and Las Vegas sharing his special brand of humor that has been the hallmark of his career. Be forewarned that cancer as part of the show is NOT off the table! He famously remarked during his cancer treatment that “Kimo Therapy” and “Ray Diation” kept him company for several months.

It has been said that there is only one Hawaiian, Filipino, French, German comedian in the entire world and he is Hawaii’s first stand-up comic, Andy Bumatai. Hawaii locals remember him from his time with comedy trio Booga Booga and the 1979 TV special “Andy Bumatai’s High School Daze which became the highest rated locally produced show in Hawaii’s TV history. 1980 was the year Andy established himself as a brilliant actor in his second TV special “All in the Ohana” in which he played all five members of an island family. He was recognized as a SUPER STAR now with multiple comedy albums to his credit as well.

Concert promoter Tom Moffat signed Andy for major concerts which led to opening a new major showroom in Waikiki, The Ocean Showroom in the Cinerama Reef Hotel. He went on to perform at the Comedy Store in Hollywood networking with legendary talent like Don Rickles and Redd Fox.

In 1981 Andy became resident headliner at the Monarch Room in the Royal Hawaiian Hotel making it the first time a comic was given that honor. Andy was casts in numerous network television projects and received high praise for his work ethic, determination making his Hawaii’s most popular and best loved comic.
