Aloha, Everyone! Welcome to Hālau Nohona Hawaiʻi’s 2nd Annual Hōʻike – a cultural presentation of Hawaiian music, hula, and song! This year, we’re celebrating Poliʻahu (Snow Goddess of Mauna Kea) and The Elements of Nature, Ke Ao Nani (The Beautiful World). Our performance will surely fill your hearts with joy, make you laugh, hold back the tears, leave you breathless, and fill you with ALOHA! As a 501( c)(3) non-profit Hawaiian cultural organization, our kuleana (responsibility) is to cultivate, protect, and perpetuate the cultural practices, knowledge, and traditions of nā kūpuna (ancestors/elders) through the teachings of hula, language, chant, protocols, music, and history for those who have a desire to learn from the heart, nurture Hawaiian practices with integrity, and live a life of Hawaiian core values; and to unite people, organizations, and resources to build a stronger Hawaiʻi community in the National Capitol region. We hope you’ll support our mission by attending our hōʻike, which is one of our annual fund-raisers. Aloha, Nā Haumana (Students) of Hālau Nohona Hawaiʻi
