Kōnane is an easy game to learn, but will take you a life time to master. In this two hour workshop you will learn a little history, Hawaiian values and the rules on how to play Kōnane. We will take you through the different phases of the game. In the middle game we will talk about what is happening on the board and simple strategy. In the end game we will talk more about the ending of the game and how simple mistakes can affect the outcome. We will also talk about how this ancient game can be applied to your life today.

Class A 11:30am –1:30pm
Class B 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Class C 5:00pm - 7:00pm

The cost is $15 per person and $25 for a two person team

This workshop is best for ages 10 and up. Please arrive 10 minutes before class because we start on time. This workshop is fun and educational and the lessons learned can last a lifetime. Hawaiian Checkers.com is a Native Hawaiian based on the Island of Kaua’i who has been teaching the ancient Hawaiian strategy game known as Kōnane since 2011. They have been teaching Kōnane at many events of Kaua’i and Oahu.
