Hōkūle'a will be arriving in New York in the summer of 2016! Hālāwai is leading the planning in the greater New York area to prepare for the arrival of Hōkūle'a, including outreach to Native Americans and other groups and to schools on all levels and other institutions of scientific learning and culture so that we can help fulfill the mission of the Mālama Honua Worldwide Voyage. We have various committees who are focused on the major efforts and who have begun planning! If you are interested in joining us, particularly if you would like to work on a committee or can help us with outreach, please let us know by emailing us at aloha@halawai.org
