East meets West as participants from both ends of the continent present their best in ancient and modern hula, oli, Tahitian Ori, Otea, Maori Poi Ball, Samoan Tauluga and Fire Knife Dance. Entries are still being accepted if you wish to participate. In addition to the 2-Day competition, an exciting evening of music, laughter and beautiful hula for all to enjoy Saturday night. The Makaha Sons, one of Hawai‘i’s premiere Hawaiian music groups, continue to perpetuate Hawaii's unique culture. Their incomparable vocal arrangements and delightful stage presence filled with comical antics and the beautiful hula of Kealo Koko, have won the hearts of thousands of fans worldwide. Ulumau returns with their Hana Hou 2009 performance, a group you will not want to miss.
