The event calendar system requires each event to be associated with a venue.
A venue is a specific location where the event will be held. It can be a park, restaurant, hotel, theater, nightclub, office building, store, convention center, etc. It is NOT the name/title of the event. A venue needs to have an address that people can use to find the location.
If a website is entered for the venue, it needs to be the "generic" site for the venue. Do not link to any event-specific page on the site. Venues submitted will be used by anyone else who has an event at the same venue. You may include event/venue specific links in the Event Description area.
Before submitting an event:
- First check the Venue List to see if the venue for your event is already listed in the database. If it is then procede to the event information submission process. You will be able to select the venue there.
- If the venue is not listed, you will need to submit the venue information.
- Login and click on the Submit Venue option that will appear in the menu.
- Once it is reviewed and approved, you will be able to submit your event.
- New venues are reviewed and made available for use usually within 24-48 hours.
