Come and join us at Rutt's Hawaiian Cafe and Catering.

We have been around since 1976 spreading the joy of local Hawaiian cuisine at prices that is hard to beat.

We cater from small family gatherings from as little as 4 guests and up to larger parties of 1000 guests.  Our services include catering for pick up or catering with delivery service.  We can also serve your guests buffet style with our experienced staff.

We offer a range of catering combo specials from your small family deals that serve 4 & 6 guests.  Our larger catering combos start from 12 guests and up to 72 guests. Our prices for caterings are as low as $4.19 per person.  Let us know your budget; we will do our best to fit a menu that suits your needs.

We feature all the local Hawaiian dishes like:  Saimin Soup, Loco Moco, Lau Lau, Spam Musubi, Beef Stew, Portuguese Sausage Breakfast, Hamburger Steak, Hawaiian BBQ Chicken, Kalua Pork, Portuguese Fried Rice, Chicken Katsu, Teriyaki Beef, etc...  Just too much to list.

We are well known for our Royales.  Our Hawaiian Royale is made with Portuguese Sausage, Char Sui, Scrambled Eggs, and Bean Sprouts & Green Onions over Steamed Rice.  Then you season it with a little of our Homemade Teriyaki Sauce.  So Ono!

Los Angeles Times Magazine, January 30, 2005, describes Rutt’s Hawaiian Café’s food as “Portions are huge.  Meals are cheap.”  In keeping with the Hawaiian Culture, making sure our guests get plenty of food is a tradition, we make this a truism at both of our restaurants.

Check out our website @ www.ruttscafe.com, our pages @ www.Facebook.com & www.myspace.com  We feature Special Priced Catering Combos that are economical.  Our prices are so competitive that Event Planners use us to cater their events; they are still able to make a good profit.

We are used frequently by groups like: Halaus, schools, athletic club, scholastic organizations, etc... For fundraisers and can help your organization make profits that you will be very pleased with.

We have two locations to serve you:

12114 Washington Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90066
Ph: 310 398 6326
For catering for Los Angeles can email

Hula Association of the Midwest AlohaWorld Ohana

HULA ASSOCIATION OF THE MIDWEST
So much to do, so little time.

However, here's what we have coming up--A WORKSHOP, featuring Uncle Fili drumming all day and all night. And no he is not related to Malia Anna (Mary Ann), down by the seaside sifting sand. Too, Moeta will be giving classes in Tahition. It should be a workout and a half, trying to learn Tahition and drumming from these two outstanding entertainers. They both come from a long line of reknown dancers and drum makers. Sometimes, I wish I had more Hawaiian than Potogee.

This fantastic event will be happening on May 5 & 6. Continue to seek more information on hulamidwest.com

Workshop schedule, how much going cost, room rates (that is usually cheaper for our members). If you book now, it will probably be less costly for airline fee's, so don't wait until the last minute. We've been known to have shuttles from the airport to the hotel. Please don't forget the food, tables for vendors, good kind laughs-jokes-teasing (with good taste of course) door prizes, etc. Then, absolutely, our famous cookbook. The following recipe is in this book.

SPICY MANGO SALSA

2 med. tomatoes 1 tbsp. fresh lime juice
3 sprigs cilantro 1/4 tsp. coriander seed
1/4 sm. jalapeno chili pepper

Peel and seed the mangos. Dice mangos, cilantro. Add chili pepper, lime juice, and coriander seeds. Pau!

This recipe is from Uncle Da Kind, who is hapa; half Mexican, half Chinese---Enjoy!
