Hula Association of the Midwest AlohaWorld Ohana

How can my sister Ka--wait, backup---my CUTE sister Kathy Lani said their last event was a complete success, when they had just enough food??? I really can't comprehend 'enough' when comes to food. It kinda of reminds me of my girlfriend who said she and her family went to China Town to eat and she ate so much, she had to lay down in the backseat on the drive home.

It basically was a fundraiser for the Little Sisters of the Poor. You know, the Nun's who help the unfortunate with medical, shelter, and food; of which, I, fall into all the categories of. It was held at the Tiki Terrace; a regular Hawaiian Style restaurant with great ono grinds. We had a drawing for all the many that had given, out of their warm hearts, stuff to be raffled off.

Coincidentally, I mean like, how does one person win the same thing they came with? They did. I don't know how because, basically, I'm not supposed to even be in this country.

Truly, one should go to Hula Midwest.com and check out our very own COOKBOOK. Who doesn't like Kulolo? If they don't, I would be wary of their own authenticity. Whoa!  www.hulamidwest.com

Hawaiian Kine Tripe Stew
Review By: C. Pico

Passion Fruit Chiffon Pie
Review By: rona
I just finished making most of it, I haven't put the whipped cream on it bc I'm still chilling it. Instead of using the frozen fruit, I used some Hawaiian jam that I had left over, mixed with the some juice that I had in the fridge to equal a 1/2 cup and did everything else. I made a shortbread cookie crust... I know it's going to taste like paradise. :)

Potato-Mac Salad
Review By: Kate
I LOVE this recipe, and so does everyone I've shared it with. I used to live in Hawaii, so I know how good the mac salad over there tastes..this is just as good.

We invite you to submit RECIPE REVIEWS for those recipes you have tried and love. It is a great way to share aloha with the "virtual" AlohaWorld ohana. Simply find your favorite recipes and click on the Review This Recipe link.
