Hula 'Ohana O Puananikauikawekiu

Kumu Aileen teaches both Hawaiian and Tahitian forms of dancing, but her focus is hula (kahiko and ‘auana).  The halau is dedicated to the continuance of the Polynesian culture.  Its main purpose is to promote awareness of the Hawaiian culture including its language and history, through chant, music, and dance.  Our halau fosters traditional Hawaiian values such as lokahi (unity), ha'aha'a (humility), and kokua (helping others).  In doing this, we strive to bring out the best in each individual while keeping harmony within the halau.  Students are accepted on an ongoing basis.
