Halau Hula O Kaʻeo is a Hula School based in San Diego, CA. Kumu Kaʻeo Haupu first opened her Halau in 1998 only 3 years after moving from her beloved Kaua`i to San Diego. She did so with the blessing of her Kumu Hula of her childhood, Aunty Ku`ulei Punua. Being a student of a very gifted teacher at such a young age has given Kumu Kaʻeo a strong foundation in Hula. In February of 2010, she was given the opportunity to become a haumana (student) of Hawaiian Hula Master, Loea Kawaikapuokalani Hewett where she successfully completed formal training in Hula Kahiko (ancient dance) and participated in a formal Uniki (graduation) Ceremony at Loea`s home, Kahalelehua, on the Big Island of Hawaii in May of 2012. Halau Hula O Kaʻeo is an award winning competitive Halau that offers classes for all ages and levels.
